I'm a single father of 2 kids. A two year old girl, and a four year old boy. My boy is fully toilet trained, and my daughter isn't toilet trained at all. They both understand and follow instructions, and feed themselves. They have a routine, which includes 8pm bed time and 8am wake up time, and for my daughter, 12:30pm nap time . They don't generally get any screen time or eat junk food.
